We are part of the international umbrella organisation GWPR, which was founded in the UK in 2015 and offers a network beyond borders. GWPR India is a non-profit organisation.

Learning

Lectures, workshops and exchange programmes with experts from corporate, start-ups, media and communication offer the opportunity for individual exchange between the members of GWPR India.

Professional Mentoring Programme

Effective mentorship is one of the most important determinants of career success. GWPR India offers a one-of-a-kind professional development and mentoring programme with the objective of enabling promising women communicators reach their highest potential

Knowledge Partnerships

GWPR India partners with experts and academia to open up discussions around what is driving the change in our industry. Members can be a part of these conversations and learn about new approaches and thinking

Why do we need a network for women in PR & Communications?

Despite the global PR & Communications industry being two-thirds female; in the boardroom the figures are in complete reverse, with men occupying 62% of seats at the boardroom table. Currently 78% of CEOs in the top 30 PR agencies worldwide are male. (GWPR Annual Survey 2017).

 

The figures are not any different in India. Women are an overwhelming majority at the entry and mid-levels, but the numbers steadily decrease at senior levels. We want to change that.

 

Our goal is to encourage women and support them in taking leadership in communication roles.
